The video presents the challenges teachers face while trying to find the best digital means that best address both theirs and students’ learning needs.

SELFIEforTEACHERS is a free and online European tool that supports teachers reflection upon their digital competence and prompts them to assume responsibility for their professional learning. It can be used by individual teachers or groups of them.

The SELFIEforTEACHERS presentation video can be shared or downloaded from the European Commission's audiovisual service.

DigCompEdu

Presentation video

The video presents DigCompEdu, the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators. It documents the importance of the framework and explains its main characteristics:

  • the pillars of educators’ digital competence,
  • the education sectors it refers
  • and the progression path educators may follow towards their digital competence.

The video teaser presents some challenges educators face while teaching in the digital era. The European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators, DigCompEdu, provides an answer to these challenges and describes the digital competence educators need to acquire.
