The video presents DigCompEdu, the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators. Documents the importance of the framework and explains its main characteristics: the pillars of educators’ digital competence, the education sectors it refers and the progression path educators may follow towards their digital competence. It finally introduces the free online tool, that is underway, which will enable educators to reflect on their digital skills (the video is also available here: https://europa.eu/!uMx9Vf).
The video teaser presents some challenges educators face while teaching in the digital era. The European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators, DigCompEdu, provides an answer to these challenges, defines-describes the digital competence educators need to acquire, and finally introduces the free online tool, that is under way, which will enable them to reflect on their digital skills (the video teaser is also available here: https://europa.eu/!pxrmd9).
