The aim of the project is to develop a cheap and simple cellular model for the Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome by the use of the well-known HL-60 cell line. The syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive disease. The HL-60 cell line is easy to manipulate and maintaine in culture.
