Biography

Viginta is a researcher working in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at the JRC-Seville. She contributes to the development and maintenance of EUROMOD and conducts research in the areas of fiscal and social policies, labour markets, and inequality.

Before joining the JRC, she worked as a researcher at two European agencies (Eurofound and EIGE), as an economic analyst at the JRC, and as a researcher and lecturer at the Lithuanian Social Research Centre and Vilnius University.

Viginta holds a PhD in Social Science, a Master’s degree in Social Policy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Vilnius University (Lithuania). Her research interests lie in the fields of fiscal and social policies, poverty and inequality, job quality, unpaid work, and gender inequality.
