She studied Business Administration at the University of Bergamo and then switched to a research experience in Economics Statistics in the same institution. She then decided to enroll in a PhD in Analytics for Economics and Business, focusing on the use of Big Data in Official Statistics.

After the PhD she continued her career in the private sector, working as data analyst in an Italian bank, where she had the possibility of attending a master in Business Data Analytics at the Bocconi University in Milan. She's in the organizing committee of the European R Users Meeting 2020 (eRum2020), working as a social media manager.

Her research interests have mainly focused on the use of Wikipedia page views to study tourism flows, and they’ve been exploited through a traineeship and a subsequent contract with the Eurostat Big Data task force.
