On 25 October, Loneliness hosted a hybrid seminar with Dr. Hans Rocha IJzerman.

About the speaker

Dr Hans Rocha IJzerman is the deputy co-council of the International Scientific Board of the Global Initiative for Loneliness and Connection and the co-founder and director of the Annecy Behavioral Science Lab (ABSL).

Context

This hybrid seminar was divided into two parts.

  • In the first part, Dr. Hans Rocha IJzerman presented results from a cross-temporal meta-analysis on loneliness levels in US younger and older adults.
  • In the second part, the speaker talked about the project to conduct a systematic review of social connection measures in collaboration with leading experts on the topic.
