Workshop on Open Access to Nuclear Research Infrastructure

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), in collaboration with the Directorate General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), will host the Open Access to Nuclear Research Infrastructure Workshop.

In 2020, JRC and DG RTD initiated a pilot project titled "Open access to JRC research infrastructure for nuclear safety and security research." This project seeks to make JRC's nuclear infrastructure accessible to the Euratom research community. Scientists from Member States receive financial support from DG RTD to facilitate experimental research in JRC laboratories.

The workshop co-organised with DG RTD will take place on the 19 and 20 June in Brussels at the Breydel building. This event aims to showcase achievements, emphasizing successes and lessons learned. The event will also highlight the effective partnership between JRC and DG-RTD that has been pivotal in enabling external users to access JRC nuclear research facilities, as well as in providing financial assistance for their travel and living expenses, thereby advancing the shared objective of propelling European nuclear research and education forward.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact the JRC-NUCLEAR-OPEN-ACCESSatec [dot] europa [dot] eu (subject: Open%20Access%20to%20Nuclear%20Research%20Infrastructure%20-%20Workshop) (meeting assistant)
