Loneliness in the European Union: Policies at work

On June 6th, 2023, the European Commission Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion hosted a high-level conference in Brussels. The conference marked the conclusion of the European Parliament Pilot Project on Loneliness carried out together with the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. The results of the first EU-wide loneliness survey were presented and discussed.

The event brought together EU and national policymakers, top academics from different disciplines working on loneliness, international organizations as well as practitioners working on interventions, to further dialogue and bring attention to a topic of societal relevance.

Moderated by Mr. Ali Al-Jaberi.
