Biography
Javier is an economic analyst in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at JRC-Seville. He works on the development and maintenance of the EUROLAB model to assess tax-benefit policies, and on the EDGE-M3-MI model to assess the effects of pension reforms.
Javier holds a PhD in Economics from CEMFI (Madrid, Spain). He also holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Finance from CEMFI, a M.Sc. in International Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a BA in Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Before joining the JRC in 2024, Javier has worked at the University of Bonn as a Post-doctoral Researcher. He has also teaching experience in macroeconomics.
His research interests lie on the intersection between macroeconomics, labor economics and public economics.
