Francesco is a senior software architect currently involved in the Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (EIOS) system with a focus on designing the comprehensive back-end architecture. Before joining the JRC Francesco spent over 5 years in Ireland, making significant contributions to two startup companies. As a Senior .NET Developer in the first venture, he played a key role in developing an early cloud solution, aiding SME traders in navigating EU Import Control System (ICS) and Export Control System (ECS) requirements for cross-border trade.

In his subsequent role as a Senior Azure Developer, Francesco contributed to architecting and developing a cloud-based supply chain management software platform, empowering buyers to discover, evaluate, and negotiate with quality suppliers on a global scale.
