Biography
Francesco Molica is an economic and policy analyst at the Joint Research Centre where he works on ex post evaluation of EU funds within the TEDAM/REMO team. Prior to joining the JRC in 2023, he was Director for EU budget and Regional Policy at the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions, the largest organisation and think tank representing EU regional authorities. In the past, he worked for the European Commission’s DG REGIO and the regional government of Calabria. Francesco holds lectures on a regular basis in various universities and is author of policy and academic papers on regional policy, EU budget and innovation policies.
His research interests include regional policy, regional development, innovation policies, and EU budget.
