Organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, SEMIC 2023 conference focuses on 'Interoperable Europe in the age of AI'.
SEMIC 2023 sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including data spaces, digital governance, data quality assurance, generative and general-purpose AI, law as code, and more. The conference will also give insights from the proposal for an Interoperable Europe Act.
The JRC Digital Economy Unit will present its work related to AI and interoperability in the public sector during the pre-conference workshops (17 Oct) and the main conference (18 Oct).
On 17 October, the JRC will be present in the 'AI in digital-ready policy design and legal drafting' workshop (14:30-18:30), which will explore how tools powered by AI technologies can support policymakers in their digital-ready policy journey.
On 18 October, during the main conference, the JRC will participate in the session 'Trustworthy AI for Interoperability in the Public Sector' (14:00 - 15:30), where the research related to Artificial Intelligence for Interoperability in the European Public Sector will be presented.
