On October 11th 2022, the JRC organised an online Roundtable to discuss the findings of the work on loneliness so far, collect emerging effective actions, and contribute to the discussion at EU level.
With 11 speakers and some 80 participants, the event provided an opportunity to exchange between academics, policymakers and practitioners about loneliness interventions.
The key questions that were discussed included:
- What kind of interventions can reduce loneliness across the EU?
- How do we tackle loneliness among different target groups?
- How do we tell if interventions are effective?
