Report
Action on climate change is costly and some of these costs will be shifted to consumers. However, rising energy, food and housing prices have regressive effects and therefore impose a greater burden on low-income households. With inequalities growing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become even more important to ensure that the impact of climate mitigation policies on different groups is equitable.
This webinar brought together academics and practitioners to discuss the distributional impact of climate reduction policies and the best strategies to design fair climate change mitigation policies in Europe.
