The Indirect Tax Tool (ITT) extends the scope of EUROMOD simulations, allowing for the simulation of consumption taxes, inflation analysis and price-side measures.

We provide ex-ante assessments of the expected distributive and budgetary effects of green taxation reforms, as well as potential compensatory measures for the promotion of a fair transition.

We assess the fiscal and distributional impacts of policy interventions, introduced in many EU countries from 2022 onward, in mitigating the effects of energy price hikes.

We support the efforts to monitor and tackle the Energy poverty by analysing energy poverty indicators and profiling vulnerable households to improve policy targeting.

We incorporated household Green House Gas footprints to our microsimulation toolbox to expand the scope of green policies we can assess (for example: carbon taxes).
