Training and capacity building at JRC laboratoriesOpen access to research infrastructures enables researchers to learn to use JRC facilities for their future experiments The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) opens its scientific laboratories and facilities for training and capacity building to people working in academia and research organisations, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and the public and private sector in general. The JRC offers access to its non-nuclear facilities to researchers and scientists from EU Member States and countries associated to the Horizon Europe programme. For nuclear facilities, the JRC opens to EU Member States and to countries associated to the Euratom Research Programme.About training and capacity building Framework for accessOffering access to visiting researchers is part of JRC's strategy to provide training and capacity building to strengthen their capabilities to obtain, develop, improve, and retain the skills, knowledge, tools, equipment and other resources needed to do their jobs competently or to a greater capacity within the running and use of similar Research Infrastructures. After following a training and capacity building course at the JRC, scientists are more familiar with the JRC laboratories which can improve the suitability of their proposals for the Open Access to Research Infrastructures programme.Scientists and technicians will have the opportunity to be trained in the following fieldschemistrybiosciences/life sciencesphysical sciencesICTforesightStay informed of future calls through the JRC Newsletter Subscribe New call for applications open for training and capacity buildingHopkinson Bar of the European Laboratory of Structural Assessment - ELSAReference: 2026-1-TCB-ELSA-HOPLABDeadline date: 30 April 2026, 23:45 (CEST)Apply now Calls for Training & Capacity BuildingCall status: Open2026-1-TCB-ELSA-ReactionWallReference2026-1-TCB-ELSA-ReactionWallOpening date1 January 2026Deadline modelSingle-stageDeadline date31 May 2026 Call modeTrainingCall status: Open2026-1-TCB-ELSA-HopLabReference2026-1-TCB-ELSA-HOPLABOpening date2 February 2026Deadline modelSingle-stageDeadline date15 May 2026 Call modeTrainingCall status: Closed2025-1-TCB-NanoBiotech - Nanobiotechnology laboratory Reference2025-1-TCB-NanoBiotechOpening date1 October 2025Deadline modelSingle-stageDeadline date28 November 2025 Call modeTrainingCall status: Closed2024-1-TCB-NanoBiotechReference2024-1-TCB-NANOBIOTECHOpening date21 March 2024Deadline modelSingle-stageDeadline date21 May 2024 Call modeTrainingCall status: Closed2024-1-TCB-ELSA-ReactionWallReference2024-1-TCB-ELSA-ReactionWallOpening date20 March 2024Deadline modelSingle-stageDeadline date14 May 2024 Call modeTrainingCall status: Closed2024-1-TCB-ELSA-HopLabReference2024-1-TCB-ELSA-HOPLABOpening date20 March 2024Deadline modelSingle-stageDeadline date14 May 2024 Call modeTraining
