Biography

Klaus Grünberger is an Economic Analyst at the Fiscal Policy Analysis team of JRC-Seville. He works on the development of the microsimulation model EUROMOD and contributes to the empirical analysis of tax-benefit policy reforms of EU Member States.

Before joining JRC in 2019, he worked as a consultant for UNICEF, FAO and WIFO (Austrian Institute of Economic Research).

Klaus holds a Magister degree in Economics from the University of Vienna and a PhD in Econometrics and Empirical Economics from the University of Rome 'Tor Vergata'.

His main research interest lies in the field of applied microeconometrics. He published in the areas of labour market, public health, agricultural production, nutrition, food security and household survey design.
