- Contributes to European Commission priorites
Space is an enabler of many EU policies and a global common where competition is growing. Global Navigation Satellite Systems, such as Galileo, and joint terrestrial-space connectivity systems enable ubiquitous services that impact every sector of the EU economy as key enablers of digital transformation. In addition, they are also essential for increasing the EU’s resilience and security.
Our goals:
- Contribute to the evolution of the EU space programme through scientific and technical support;
- Provide scientific analysis on cutting edge technologies and policy aspects related to space infrastructure development with a focus on positioning, navigation, timing and connectivity;
- Support the implementation of the EU related programmes and actions, such as space programme, the EU radio spectrum policy programme, the action plan on synergies on civil, space and defence industries.
