About
The General Equilibrium Model for Economy-Energy-Environment (GEM-E3) model is the result of a collaborative effort by various modelling groups. The model has been used for several Directorates General of the European Commission.
JRC-GEM-E3 is an applied general equilibrium model maintained by the JRC since 2003. The model covers the interactions between the economy, the energy system and the environment. It is well suited to evaluate climate and energy policies, as well as fiscal issues. Analyses based on the JRC-GEM-E3 have been published widely.
