The JRC is developping a tool to assess the vulnerability of public spaces in partiuclra squares and streets accoding vehicle ramming (vehicle as a weapon attacks). The tool is based on data from openstreetmap and automatically assesses the maximum speed that vehicles can gain on a selected place. With that information, public authorities can plan protection measures in order to mitigate the risk for peaople gathering on these public spaces.

JRC offers this tool as demonstration tool only. The tool is in an early development phase, therefore some minor problems can occur.
