Experimental activities

The novel concepts on integrated retrofitting were validated through full-scale testing at the JRC European Laboratory for Structural Assessment reaction wall facility. The experiments will include a series of earthquake simulations (i.e. pseudo-dynamic tests) and thermal performance evaluations (i.e. blower door tests) to assess the seismic behaviour and energy efficiency of  full-scale prototype buildings before and after retrofitting.
