Salvatore Mirabella

Salvatore is the Senior Application Architect & Senior UX Designer for the Epidemic Intelligence from Open Source (EIOS) project. In his role, Salvatore works closely with a team implementing advanced data visualization and dissemination tools. He is responsible for designing and developing the user interface, creating prototypes, and coding the frontend, and supports the frontend software rollout process by adopting modern design and development paradigms for user interfaces, including MVVM, Flux, Redux, Atomic Design on the Angular framework.

Professional achievements 

Salvatore is a full-stack and user experience designer since 2001, with skills in Interaction Design, Information Architecture and Art Direction for mobile, desktop and web applications. Trained as a Computer Engineer and Communication Science, he has collaborated and directed projects for both national and international entities, public and private as IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development – U.N.), AIFA (Italian Medicines Agency), MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education). He is a Senior Member of the international organization “Interaction Design Foundation” since 2012 and of TAU Visual Italia.

Academic background

Salvatore holds a degree in communication sciences and another one in computer engineering.
