Robert M'barek

Biography

Robert M'barek is an agricultural economist at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in Seville, Spain. He is Head of Sector in the Economics of Agriculture unit (JRC.D4).

Since 2005 when he joined the European Commission, Robert has coordinated activities related to the agro-economic modelling platform iMAP. He's involved in different research projects related to the Common Agricultural Policy, trade, markets, development policies and bioeconomy.

He holds a PhD on EU trade relations from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. Before joining the JRC, he worked as research fellow from 2002-2004 at the Institute for Food and Resource Economics, University of Bonn, Germany.
