Raffael Speitmann

Raffael works as an economist in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at JRC – Seville. He currently focuses on developing and applying corporate tax microsimulations, including cross-border taxes.

Biografi

Raffael works as an economist in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at JRC – Seville. He currently focuses on developing and applying corporate tax microsimulations, including cross-border taxes.

Before joining the JRC in April 2021, Raffael worked as a teaching and research associate at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, while pursuing his PhD degree in economics from the Doctoral Program in International Business Taxation.

His research mainly deals with the economic consequences of taxation at the firm level. Prior to his academic career, he worked as an analyst in the financial sector in Vienna.

Raffael holds an MSc in Business Administration from WU Vienna and a BSc in Economics from the University of Munich.

Raffael works at the intersection of accounting, public economics and international taxation with a particular focus on firm taxation using archival and experimental methods.
