Analysis of acrylamide in crisps

This proficiency test aims to support the implementation of Commission Recommendation 2007/331/EC of 3 May 2007 on the monitoring of acrylamide levels in food by benchmarking the capabilities of control laboratories for the determination of acrylamide in crisps.

Participation is open to all analytical laboratories and is free of charge. However, the total number of participants is restricted to about 60 laboratories. Participation will be accepted in the order of date of registration through

Deadline for the registration is 31 July 2007.

Each registered participant will receive about 5 g of test material and will be asked to perform duplicate analysis using a method of their choice. Dispatch of the samples is planned for end of August. Participants will be informed in due time about the exact date and details of the study.
