Starting with the 2023 edition, the Joint Research Centre has joined the founding partners (Sapienza University of Rome, UnitelmaSapienza and Casmef - LUISS Guido Carli) and participates in the organisation.

It featured three keynote speakers: Antoni Ballabriga (Global Head of Responsible Business, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria); Nicola Ranger (Senior Researcher, University of Oxford) and Kenneth Amaeshi (European University Institute). The programme was complemented by three sessions, namely: a round table on "How can research support the industry?"; a session titled "A research perspective on financing strategies" and another session titled "One size does not fit all: Country case studies".

The event featured keynote speeches by Nobel laureate prof. Robert F. Engle and by Chief Policy officer at European Banking Federation Sébastien de Brouwer, plus the closing remarks by EU Mairead McGuinness. The event developed in three sessions: one dedicated to industry-related research, a panel discussion on how research can help the financial sector, and a final session dedicated to case studies at the interface between science and industry.
