Pietro Santoleri joined the JRC in 2022. He earned a PhD in Economics jointly from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne in 2019. Prior to joining the JRC, he has worked for the United Nations, and acted as a consultant for the OECD and the Bank of Italy. His primary fields are firm dynamics and economics of innovation, with a focus on young innovative firms and the evaluation of public policies targeting them. He has published articles on The Review of Economics and Statistics, Research Policy and Industrial and Corporate Change, among others. He is member of the Editorial Review Board of Small Business Economics.
