Biography
Michael joined the Fiscal Policy Analysis team in March 2024 where he contributes to the development and maintenance of EUROMOD. Before this he worked as an economic analyst in the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) from 2022 to 2023. Michael was a member of the Fiscal Policy Analysis team for 4 years before joining DG ECFIN. From 2013 to 2018 he worked for Agenda Austria, a think tank based in Vienna.
Michael holds a PhD in Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He obtained a master's degree in quantitative finance from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and master's and bachelor's degrees in economics from the University of Vienna.
His research interests lie in the fields of public economics and labour economics.
