Train-the-trainers (ToT) Programme

The objective of the ToT is to train around 20 ‘local trainers’ in 2021 to deliver the 2-day professional training course on Evidence for Policy.

Providing and using evidence in policymaking is a complex task. It demands distinct competencies that are rarely part of the curricula for scientific degrees at university.

Participants of the ToT learn how to train researchers to effectively inform the design of public policies and debates. It covers

  • assessing science,
  • understanding policymaking processes and
  • gaining insight into the interaction between scientists, policymakers and politicians.
