Are you a talented scientific research specialist? The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) is currently looking for motivated staff, to mainly work in Seville, Petten, Ispra, Geel and Karlsruhe.
The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) has just published competitions for highly talented scientific research specialists in the following fields:
- Quantitative & qualitative policy impact assessment/evaluation
- Data science applications
- Modelling for policy
- Development of space, telecommunication and remote sensing applications
- Scientific knowledge management & communication
- Nuclear research and decommissioning.
Recruited specialists will mainly work in the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
They will provide customer-driven scientific and technical support for the conception, development, implementation and monitoring of EU policies.
The Joint Research Centre operates close to the policy-making process serving the common interest of the Member States, while being independent of special interests.
Most posts will be in Seville (Spain), Petten (The Netherlands), Ispra (Italy), Geel (Belgium) and Karlsruhe (Germany).
Do you have what it takes to apply?
To apply, you need a university degree of at least 4 years in a relevant scientific domain followed by at least 6 years’ professional experience relevant to the duties, or a university degree of at least 3 years in a relevant scientific domain followed by at least 7 years’ professional experience.
Additionally, you must be an EU citizen and have a thorough knowledge of one of the 24 EU languages, as well as a satisfactory knowledge of English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.
