Today the Commission adopted the decision on the work programme of the Joint Research Centre for 2025, 2026 and 2027. The work programme outlines how the JRC will support EU policymaking in the next 3 years. The new JRC work programme focuses on prioritisation, scientific excellence, and the core strengths of the JRC – anticipation, integration and impact of EU policies. It is designed to integrate competencies across scientific and policy domains, supporting the Commission’s political priorities with science and data. It is organised in 25 research portfolios covering a wide range of policy areas, from competitiveness to the energy transition and AI governance.
