JRCMSD uses established thermodynamic models for solution phases.
For the solid solutions the two-sublattice model is used and for some systems the polynomial formalism is used.
The liquid salt phase is described using the modified quasi chemical model that has been published by Pelton and co-workers […].
This model describes the liquid solution by a distribution of atoms or molecular species over the sites of a quadruplet quasilattice. The gas phase is described as an ideal mixture.
Database files compatibility
The database files are provided in a format compatible with FactSage® software. However, they can be used in other computational thermodynamic software, provided that the modified quasi chemical model is implemented (appropriate file converter might be applicable).
