Biography

Isabelle Seigneur is a project officer working on Sustainable Finance Taxonomy in the Circular Economy and Industrial Leadership unit of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.

Her work includes the conceptual and methodological development of the EU Taxonomy, coordinating the provision of in-depth technical expertise on the different economic activities for which criteria are developed, and leading the Commission services in guiding the work of the members of the Platform on Sustainable Finance as far as the development of the technical screening criteria is concerned.

Previously, Isabelle worked as Scientific Officer in the Smart Specialisation Platform of the JRC's Territorial Development Unit. She was supporting activities related to Smart Specialisation in the field of Energy and Industrial Modernisation, notably: policy advice, methodological support, management of interregional thematic partnerships, tools development, etc.

Before joining JRC, Isabelle worked as the International Department Coordinator and Project Manager in a private technology centre for renewable energies in Spain, and as a Scientific Environmental Advisor in the Belgian Federal Ministry of Environment in the Product Policy Unit.
