Hugo del Valle-Inclán Cruces

Biography

Hugo del Valle-Inclán Cruces is an economist working in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at the JRC-Seville. He works in the development and maintenance of EUROMOD, and contributes to the assessment of tax-benefit policies. He obtained his PhD from the University of Vigo in 2021, and has done research stays or visits at Johns Hopkins University and the Luxembourg Income Study.

Before joining the JRC-Seville Hugo worked as slackline instructor, taught at a high school in Berlin, performed financial accounting at the City Council of Vilagarcía de Arousa, and was a researcher and teacher at the University of Vigo. His interests include distributive justice, inequality, poverty, data analysis, and coding.
