Biography
Fotis Delis works as an Economic Analyst in the Fiscal Policy Analysis Team at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He engages in research and policy analysis related to international corporate taxation. Currently, he is developing corporate tax microsimulations, with a particular interest in the profit shifting and tax avoidance activities of multinational enterprises.
Before joining the JRC in September 2022, he pursued his doctoral studies at the University of Piraeus. His research focused on the profit-shifting behavior of Multinational Enterprises. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a financial consultant specializing in intra-company transfer pricing and the profit shifting of MNEs.
He holds a Master of Science in International and European Economic Studies from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the same institution.
Fotis specializes in areas encompassing accounting, public economics, and international taxation, with a specific emphasis on developing a metric that can estimate profit-shifting at the firm-year level.
