EUROMOD-JRC web interface

EUROMOD is a static tax-benefit microsimulation model for the European Union that currently covers all EU Member States. EUROMOD enables researchers and policy analysts to simulate personal income tax, social insurance contributions or social benefit reforms and calculate the budgetary and personal income implications of those reforms, based on micro-data and existing national tax and benefit codes. The model allows for standardised analysis across EU countries´ tax and benefits systems.

Originally maintained, developed and managed by the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER), since 2021 EUROMOD is maintained, developed and managed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, in collaboration with EUROSTAT and national teams from the EU countries.

EUROMOD-JRC Web Interface

The EUROMOD-JRC web interface provides a simplified access to EUROMOD itself, and allows analysis of the fiscal and equity impacts of tax reforms.

The interface utilises the full tax-benefit rules stored in EUROMOD, allowing the user to make limited simulations and produces summary results. The EUROMOD-JRC web interface is run and maintained at the Joint Research Centre in Seville. This tool can only be accessed by experts that are inside the Commission network.
