What’s next? How science can help prepare for Europe’s crises.

Find out more about the annual conference of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service and the Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre.

From 4 to 6 November 2025 experts from scientific, policy, and crisis response communities will meet in Turin (Italy) to learn, share and explore how science can help better anticipate and prepare for future crises.

Organised by the Joint Research Centre's Copernicus Emergency Management Service and the Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre, this conference will provide opportunities for exchanging knowledge, testing new tools, and connecting with others committed to advancing science-based crisis preparedness and response.

The programme - which will soon be released - includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, poster sessions, and interactive workshops. These formats will host discussions on topics such as early-warning systems for natural and man-made disasters, risk and impact modelling, exposure mapping, foresight and resilience planning, the Union's Preparedness, among others.
