Description
We invite you to join the two webinar sessions on 'Novel in vitro model as alternative to in vivo toxoid vaccines testing: Clostridium septicum vaccine as a proof of concept'.
They are co-organised by:
- the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM; Council of Europe),
- the European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing (EPAA) and
- the JRC.
Three cell-based assays have been validated to replace the current animal tests required for in-process quality control of Clostridium septicum vaccines. The webinars aim to disseminate the study results, share knowledge, facilitate discussions between stakeholders and provide information on the implementation of the model for other clostridial vaccines.
The study (BSP130) was conducted under the umbrella of the EDQM Biological Standardisation Project. The JRC, through EURL ECVAM, supported the study as co-leader of the EPAA Clostridial Project.
The webinar sessions will be of particular interest to those working in vaccine manufacture and/or involved in the control and licencing of vaccines for veterinary use.
Registration to the webinars can be done via the link below:
