Side event of the Nuclear Energy Summit

The JRC Side event of the Nuclear Energy Summit "JRC activities for a safe and secure nuclear in Europe", and official closing event of the 60 Years JRC Nuclear Safety and Security, will take place on 20 March 2024 in Brussels.

The JRC Side event aims to highlight the role of JRC in nuclear science and technology, emphasising the need for strong support for nuclear research in Europe. JRC has been actively contributing to nuclear education and training of the next generation of experts in the nuclear field, maintaining essential know-how and competences throughout Europe.

The event will present major JRC nuclear achievements over the last 60 years and its role in fostering the safe and secure development of both nuclear power and non-power applications in Europe.
