The 5th Annual Conference on European Studies: Europe in Unchartered Territories brings together economists and political scientists to address European socio-economic issues, with the objective of contributing to the evaluation and design of institutions and policies in and for Europe.
This year edition has a particular focus on North-South, East-West and Rural-Urban Divide in Europe.
Conference topics are:
- Macro, money, banking and finance
- European governance
- Wellbeing, inequality and polarization
- Migration, cooperation and trade
- Climate change and energy policies
- The economic, social and political impact of COVID-19 and the Ukraine war
The Conference is jointly organized by the Network for European Studies: CefES-DEMS (University of Milano-Bicocca), KOF (ETH Zurich), EI (London School of Economics and Political Science), JRC (European Commission), Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies (EUI), RCEA Europe ETS (The Rimini Center for Economic Analysis – Europe)
The conference will be in person and authors of accepted papers are expected to attend the entire conference.
Sessions with four papers foresee 20 min presentation plus 2.5 min Q&A. Sessions with three papers foresee 25 min presentation plus 5min Q&A. By default, the last speaker in the session will act as the chair.
