2026 Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships Info Session

The Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Programme (CDP) is a JRC initiative to establish strategic collaborations with Partner Institutions, including higher education institutions and research organisations. The programme facilitates dual PhD projects, where Partner Institutions collaborate with the JRC to jointly design, host, and supervise doctoral research projects. 

The 2026 Call for Expressions of Interest invites Partner Institutions to participate in the Collaborative Doctoral Partnership programme encompasses eight Collaboration Themes. It  is directed at Partner Institutions, including higher education institutions and research organisations, that wish to organise PhD projects with their JRC counterparts. 

We invite all researchers and other representatives of Partner Institutions who are interested in applying to this call to attend the online info session. During the session, participants will learn more about the benefits and practical set-up of the programme, including eligibility criteria, the dual employment model, mobility arrangements and administrative workflows.  

Particular attention will be given to the application process of the 2026 call and the eight Collaboration Themes. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding proposal preparation as well as thematic in-depth questions on the research themes.
