Emilia Gómez (Telecommunication Engineer, PhD in Computer Science) is a professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.

 

Emilia Gómez (Telecommunication Engineer, PhD in Computer Science) is a professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.

She also leads the Human Behaviour and Machine Intelligence (HUMAINT) project at the Centre for Advanced Studies of the Joint Research Centre.

HUMAINT contributes to the AI WATCH initiative of the EC to monitor the advancements, uptake and impact of AI in Europe.

During her career, Emilia Gómez has developed data-driven machine learning algorithms to support music listening experiences.

Starting from music, she researches on the social, cultural and ethical impact of Artificial Intelligence systems and related aspects such as diversity, fairness and trust.
