Danuse Nerudova is full professor at Mendel University Brno and the first woman rector since its establishment in 1919.

Danuse Nerudova is full professor at Mendel University Brno, where she serves currently as the first woman rector since its establishment in 1919.

In her research career she focuses on EU and national taxation policy and international taxation. The research results of her team within the project H2020 FairTax in the area of common consolidated corporate tax base and sustainability of the taxation systems have supported the High Level Group on Own Resources led by Mario Monti into its final report on the reform of EU Budget.

She is also a co-author of the studies for the European Commission and European Parliament on tax evasion and tax fraud. In 2019 she has been appointed by the minister of social affairs as the head of the Pension Commission in the Czech Republic with the aim to reform the system of pensions.

In the wake of the COVID outbreak, she became a member of the Economic team of the Government crisis body to help to mitigate the impact on the national economy. Since 2019 she is listed in FORBES ranking of the most influential women in the Czech Republic.
