Biography
Beatrice Pataracchia is an economist/scientific officer at Economic and Financial Resilience unit of the Joint Research Centre (JRC-Ispra) where she works for the Macroeconomic monitoring and fiscal surveillance project since 2011.
She holds a PhD in economics from Tilburg University and has been research fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her main area of expertise focuses on macroeconomic modelling (DSGE) primarily in support of the European Semester monitoring and surveillance tasks of the DG ECFIN: she has worked on QUEST model since 2011 and on the GM model since its conception in 2014.
Since 2015 she is also leading a JRC team involved in supporting DG COMP in ex-post evaluation simulating the macroeconomic impact of anti-collusive policy interventions.
