Biography
Ana Agúndez García is Deputy Head of the Fiscal Policy Analysis team of the Joint Research Centre. She holds PhD and MSc in economics from the University of York – UK.
Her main areas of research and policy interests include the economics of taxation and social policies, and the development of fiscal frameworks.
Previously, she worked for other services of the European Commission conducting research and policy guidance on areas such as EU-wide tax initiatives on corporate taxation, pension reforms and social protection. She has also worked on financial assistance programmes and inter-institutional relations, on issues related to economic and financial affairs. Before joining the European Commission, she held teaching and research positions at the University of Extremadura in Spain.
